was held at San Jose, California. For the first time, Vietnamese American attorneys from all over the country came together to share ideas, discuss matters of interest to the Vietnamese American community and celebrate our accomplishments of the last thirty-plus years. On Friday, September 29, 2006, NCVAA greeted attorneys with a Welcoming Reception at Dynasty Seafood Restaurant. The dinner also recognized VABANC's 2006 scholarship recipients. The keynote speaker was Hon. Nho Trong Nguyen.

The second day of the conference began with welcoming remarks from San Jose Council member Madison Nguyen and California State Bar President Jim Heiting at San Jose City Hall. Hon. Thang Nguyen Barrett delivered the keynote speech.

Attendees had the opportunity to listen to and participate in panels such as: Legal Ethics, Vietnamese American Attorneys in the High-Tech Industry, Judges Panel, Pro Bono and Public Interest Work in the Vietnamese American Community, Client Development, Elimination of Bias, Lawyers in Elected Offices, and Alternative Careers for Legal Professionals. San Francisco District Attorney Kamala Harris delivered the keynote speech during lunch.
