Congratulations, VABANC Scholarship Recipients! |
|---|
VABANC is proud to celebrate our landmark tenth anniversary this year. In keeping with our goals of encouraging law students to excel in school and become involved with the Vietnamese American community, we are giving away several scholarships to students who have shown a commitment to serving the Vietnamese American community. These students will be recognized at our 10th Anniversary Dinner Gala, to be held in conjunction with NCVAA's Closing Reception. Bert Nguyen - UC Hastings, Class of 2010 Bert is an incoming second year law student at the University of California , Hastings College of Law. He is looking forward to taking the role as President of the Vietnamese American Law Society. Bert has been working with many other Vietnamese American law students from the Bay Area law schools to expand this organization throughout the Bay Area. Judy Nguyen - Southwestern University School of Law, Class of 2010 Judy Nguyen is a second year law student at Southwestern University School of Law. Judy has been an avid volunteer in the non-profit sector since 2000. Judy hopes to work as an Immigration attorney after law school either for a non-profit organization or as a solo practitioner.
